Senior UI/UX Designer
Ubisoft Barcelona is seeking passionate talent from all fields to expand its games development team.
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior UI/UX Designer to work on our new projects for the current and next generation of consoles.
Job Description
The Senior UI/UX Designer:
- Works closely with the project leads and other members of the UI/UX team to create and implement the HUD, Front End and any other UI aspects.
- Brings new ideas for graphic references for the project, and participates in the project's artistic direction.
- Coaches less-experienced UX designers.
- Suggests improvements and finds solutions on several tools used on the project.
- Produce interactive prototypes to test and validate UI/UX ideas.
- Works with programmers and game designers to ensure implementation of work is smooth and bug-free.
- Creates and optimizes the game’s graphic content.
- Ensures that the work can be easily integrated into the game.
- Integrates accessibility concepts and usability tests.
What we require:
- 4 years of experience in UX/UI role in videogames, or any similar relevant experience in the multimedia field.
- Very good knowledge of 2D software and web design tools (Flash CS, Photoshop…).
- Knowledge of game development engines (Unity3D, UDK…).
- Excellent graphic design skills, covering layout, ergonomics, typography and color theory.
- Knowledge in the fields of 3D modelling, illustration or concept art (an asset).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Action Script, C#,…).
- Passion for your job and for team work.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Open-minded personality and team-player mentality.
- Flexibility, support and will to manage the impact of change.
- Excellent oral and written communication in English. Spanish and French are a plus.
